So recently I’ve been watching a lot of series online and I came across Bhanwar on ZEE5, it hooked me and I loved binge-watching. I thought to share a mini-review with you all in case you are looking for recommendations to watch online series.

Hats off to Karanvir Bohra for his directional debut and putting all his heart and hard work in Bhanwar, he did an amazing work with his initial raw concept to creating the whole series and adding lots of interesting twists and characters in the story to make it one of a kind for the Indian audience. Time travel is the theme of the series and the name ‘Bhanwar’ is derived from the term wormhole. The main characters are played by Karanvir Bohra, Priya Banerjee, Teejay Sidhu and Payal Sodhi.

Bhanwar is an amazing sci-fiction series which has a lot of suspense, thriller, mystery and paranormal events, it has binge-worthy 8 episodes to keep you hooked on for a couple of hours and enjoy your time! Also, it is really hard to believe that the whole series has been shot during lockdown under a short time guideline, strict protocols, shortage of resources and limited people, no one can even hint it with their superb drone cinematography and excellent VFX effects.

The series is based on a couple’s life, who lives a risky shady life, working dangerous errands and always hiding, running away from the law and people. As they start living in their new house, they experience unusual things, incidents like being transported to different future phases and at one point they even see themselves about to be murdered, which is life-changing for them. After some attempts, they do get back to the normal present life and they try to make several plans and work to live a different life and prevent the murder but they soon realise that they were doomed from the beginning so no matter what they do the destiny won’t change.

It’s an amazing show, the chemistry between Karanvir and Priya is really good and they brilliantly portrayed the characters. Karanvir’s directorial skills as a first-timer are impressive as well, for his acting skills be it on television or web series as always he has nailed. The plot twists are catchy and interesting as it hits at a right time when no one expects and the show has so many different themes and things going on, firstly it has murder mystery elements, secondly, all the episodes are thrilling and lastly, the time travel concept is so intriguing and exciting for the Indian audience that it makes for one of a kind Indian show you just can’t miss watching!
