The temperature is rising high and heat is just unbearable, I literally sweat all the time,

The worst thing, I can’t even step out of my house for even a minute, the sunscreen doesn’t seem to work I directly get sunburnt not tanned and so, I don’t feel like going out anywhere as I don’t want to be a burnt toast.

As for the clothes – airy, flowy and light colour fabrics are your best friends, I prefer cotton and linen materials as they absorb the sweat and feels super light on the skin.

In this blog post, I will be sharing a cool way of styling your basic home shorts/night dress for a summer day look! I am sure everyone has that one set of shorts which one wears at the comfort of home.

All you need is a basic short, it can be plain, patterned or even printed. Now just see the colour tones in your short, if it is single toned than you need to pair it with something contrasting and if it has different colour tones than you can pair it up with any striking colour so, that’s how the colour co-ordination should work.

Now with the chosen colour, just check out the different clothing options that you may have in your closet. As your bottoms are basic, you can experiment with your top. So, you can choose some interesting style like off-shoulder, crop top, tie up, choker style, etc. This way the pairing would be perfect for a day look!

As for my look, I wanted to keep it basic, comfortable yet chic. You wouldn’t believe but I am dealing with 44* C temperature here in Ahmedabad, so freakin’ HOTTTTT! Also, this is the go-to option for lazy girls, who don’t want to waste too much time getting ready but still want to look cool while going out!

My Outfit details:

White Off-shoulder Top – I love the combination of white and checks, It has an off-shoulder pattern and floral embroidery detailing on the sleeves with a very cute knot at the end, which is indeed an eye candy. Also, White colour is perfect for summer as it reflects the sunlight and the material is cotton and airy. What’s not to love, Overall its a gorgeous statement top!

Check shorts – I literally have this exact kind of check shorts in 3 more colour options. I wear different coloured shorts every day at home, this is my only saviour in this killing heat. I chose to style the blue check shorts as blue colour is cool, refreshing. The shorts have check linings of blue, green and white colours, it looks very appealing. It is again cotton, flowy and very comfy to wear in summer and cute tassel detailing is attached on the waist front which makes anyone fall in love with the shorts. Also, loose shorts are best for summer as it lets your skin breathe.

Bracelet – I wore a blue beaded bracelet, as I wanted a minimal day look and didn’t want too much of accessories.

Reflector and white matrix glares – I just cannot face the sun without my reflectors, I styled my look with two different pair. Well, the silver reflectors were for actual sun protection while the white matrix one was just an edgy eye candy which I love! You can style your look with many different glares available online.
